As a Project Director, you will lead the delivery of large-scale capital projects within the Yorkshire Water AMP8 framework, bridging strategy and hands-on execution. You’ll steer multidisciplinary teams, manage risk and commercial performance, and uphold health, safety and wellbeing across projects. Your leadership will shape capability, risk strategies, and client relationships while advancing modern, sustainable water infrastructure. Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of complex major capital projects under the AMP8 framework in Yorkshire
• Oversee multidisciplinary project teams across design and construction lifecycle
• Drive commercial performance and manage project-level and portfolio risk
• Interface with key client stakeholders and maintain strong HSSE and wellbeing standards
• Guide Project Managers, develop capability, and shape delivery best practices
• Collaborate with regional leadership to implement commercial and risk strategies
• Support growth of the Major Projects portfolio and contribute to service development
• Mentor and develop team talent to build a world-class project delivery capability

Key requirements

• Seasoned project leader with track record delivering Major Projects in a multidisciplinary setting
• Strong understanding of design for construction and commercial acumen for financial outcomes
• Ideally consultancy experience in the water sector
• Proficient stakeholder relationship management
• Exemplary HSSE and wellbeing conduct
• Chartership status with a relevant institution is ideal
