Technical Director (Geotechnical Engineering)

In this senior role you will lead and oversee the South East UK geotechnical team within a premier consultancy, shaping project delivery and client relationships. You will drive growth by winning work, while mentoring engineers and guiding strategic direction toward high-quality, stable geotechnical projects. This is an opportunity to progress toward Directorship in a respected firm with a strong UK presence. You will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to uphold technical excellence and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• oversee and lead the South East geotechnical team
• manage geotechnical projects from inception through delivery
• drive business development, bid for and secure new work
• operate at Associate or Technical Director level and contribute to strategic direction
• support development into Directorship and mentor engineers

Key requirements

• Chartered engineer in a geo-technical or geo-environmental field
• significant UK geotechnical consultancy experience
• experience managing teams and projects
• proven track record in bidding for and winning work
• currently operating at Associate or Technical Director level in geotechnical consultancy
