Overview
As Associate Director in our Health, Science & Education team, you lead end-to-end cost management on a range of high-profile London projects, from feasibility to handover. You’ll work within a collaborative cost management community and influence both public and private healthcare clients. Expect impactful work on large-scale hospitals and refurbishments, with opportunities to broaden into other sectors. You drive value through proactive cost control, stakeholder engagement, and leadership on project accounts.

Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end cost management on projects from feasibility to handover
- Prepare and present final cost plans and monthly post-contract cost reports
- Manage tendering and procurement activities including pre-qualification and contract documents
- control cost variances and manage change in line with contract requirements
- Negotiate and agree final accounts with clients and contractors
- Interface with clients and consultants across project stages
- Coach and lead junior cost management team members
- Support value engineering and lifecycle costing activities
Key requirements
- Healthcare and/or education sector experience
- Experience leading projects from feasibility through completion
- Two-Stage tendering experience
- Experience with JCT and NEC contracts
- Client-facing with strong stakeholder management
- Knowledge of risks and opportunities in public-sector healthcare
- Post-contract cost reporting experience
- Procurement process management including qualification and contract preparation
- Ability to negotiate and settle final accounts
- Knowledge of cost planning, cost checking and valuations
- Experience with CostX or similar measurement software
