Overview

In this role you will lead end-to-end design for Wise’s Receive experience, shaping a universal, cross-market payment receipt system. You’ll work to grow payment inflows by delivering a coherent, scalable experience across currencies and methods. You will own strategy, help define success metrics, and raise design quality across the squad while leveraging systems thinking and AI where appropriate. This is a mission-driven opportunity to improve globally how people and businesses get paid.

Responsibilities

  • Own the toughest design problems in Receive end to end, setting craft standards for the squad
  • Develop deep, first-hand understanding of how people and businesses get paid globally and where the experience breaks down
  • Shape the design strategy for Receive, outlining current, next, and future state and aligning with outcomes
  • Bring systems thinking to a fragmented surface so multiple currencies and methods form one coherent experience
  • Build vision with evidence-backed direction to guide the Receive roadmap
  • Raise design quality through feedback, critiques, and skill sharing across the squad
  • Apply AI in daily practice where it adds value and demonstrate its use to the team

Key requirements

  • Senior designer with experience owning ambiguous problems end to end
  • Systems thinking approach to multi-market, multi-format products
  • Proven track record in owning strategy and influencing metrics
  • Prototyping focus with ability to compare approaches and articulate tradeoffs
  • High craft bar, strong visual skills, and experience with design systems
  • Mentoring and elevating peers, openness, and collaboration
  • Familiarity with AI tools in design and clear point of view on their impact
