Overview
As Cyber Security Engineer you will design, implement and manage security solutions to protect client systems, data and applications. You will work with cross-functional teams to embed security best practices and automate tooling in cloud, on‑premises and hybrid environments. You will assess risk, enforce standards and contribute to threat detection and incident response. This role offers exposure to modern security tooling and a chance to advance in a collaborative, security‑minded engineering practice.

Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage security tools, systems, and processes to protect infrastructure, applications, and data
- Partner with engineering and security teams to embed security best practices
- Automate security tooling such as SIEM log ingestion
- Manage firewall configurations across hybrid cloud and on‑premises environments
- Develop and maintain security policies, standards and procedures
- Conduct security assessments using tools like CIS benchmarks
Key requirements
- Core concepts of cyber security and platform engineering (networking, cloud security, CI/CD, virtualization, IaC)
- Software development skills using Linux or WSL
- SIEM/log routing experience (Splunk, Sentinel, Cribl, ELK)
- Familiarity with AWS, Azure, and GCP services
- Scripting or programming (Python, Bash, PowerShell)
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
- Experience with IDS/IPS, vulnerability management, and endpoint security
