Overview

You’ll influence provider strategy, shape innovative partnership models, and collaborate with senior stakeholders to improve value and member experience. You will drive change through data-led insights and strategic negotiation, strengthening provider relationships and outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Own and develop a portfolio of strategically important hospital provider relationships with accountability for commercial performance, service delivery and contractual outcomes
  • Lead negotiations and commercial discussions with provider partners to secure sustainable agreements balancing member outcomes, quality standards and cost effectiveness
  • Drive provider performance improvements through robust relationship management, data-led insight and constructive challenge
  • Influence provider utilisation strategies by analysing performance trends and recommending actions aligned with organisational goals
  • Collaborate with Clinical, Claims, Consultant, MI and Primary Care teams to deliver integrated healthcare solutions
  • Support design and implementation of innovative healthcare pathways and partnership models delivering measurable benefits
  • Ensure contractual compliance, governance standards and service expectations across provider relationships and commercial frameworks
  • Provide leadership, coaching and development within the Hospital Services team to drive high performance
  • Lead complex projects and change initiatives; coordinate stakeholders across functions to deliver objectives
  • Act as a trusted senior stakeholder partner, building credibility across internal teams and the healthcare provider market

Key requirements

  • Significant experience managing hospital/healthcare provider relationships involving substantial commercial spend
  • Strong commercial acumen balancing quality, member outcomes, and financial performance
  • Experience negotiating complex agreements and influencing senior stakeholders
  • Excellent analytical skills to interpret performance data and translate it into actions
  • Proven track record delivering change initiatives or business improvements
  • Experience in complex operational environments with competing priorities
  • Strong relationship management skills to build trust and mutual outcomes
  • Experience collaborating across multiple business functions to deliver shared objectives
  • Highly resilient and adaptable in a fast-paced, autonomous role
  • Advantageous: Private Medical Insurance, healthcare provider management or insurance sector experience
