SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) Consultant

Overview

As an SAP MDG Consultant, you enable SAP-powered data transformations for clients, from shaping governance to deployment. You work with stakeholders to translate business needs into functional MDG designs, configure and test solutions, and support delivery. You’ll contribute to S/4HANA-driven data journeys and collaborate with global delivery teams to unlock value from master data. This role combines functional mastery with hands-on execution in a transformative, data-centric environment.

Responsibilities

• Shape data transformation strategies and identify value opportunities using SAP MDG and partner solutions
• Contribute to the data migration workstream within S/4HANA transformations
• Collaborate with delivery centres to design, build, test and deploy data solutions
• Translate business requirements into MDG functional designs and configurations
• Support governance model definition and operating model requirements pre-deployment
• Engage with diverse client stakeholders across industries to enable transformation

Key requirements

• Experience advising on Master Data Management strategy within S/4HANA roadmaps
• Hands-on MDG implementation experience across SAP and other MDM applications
• Knowledge of data governance target operating models and accountability definitions
• Functional data experience with at least two major master data objects from requirements to deployment
• Experience working with distributed/offshore delivery teams
• Experience addressing data quality challenges and defining corrective actions
• Understanding of SAP MDG deployment methodologies
• Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall project methodologies
