Overview

In this role, you will serve as the transaction-management partner for leveraged loan clients within the Credit Products Delivery team. You provide loan market expertise in negotiating and reviewing credit facility documentation and oversee end-to-end transaction execution. You collaborate with client coverage, Risk, counsel, and agent banks to drive efficient closes. You contribute to cross-functional projects and uphold internal controls while solving documentation challenges. This is an opportunity to shape large, complex facilities for corporate clients in a global banking environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage loan documentation negotiations as part of the transaction execution for credit facilities and related legal docs
  • Engage with clients or their counsel alongside Front Office and Credit Risk to support documentation negotiations
  • Liaise with internal/external counsel to review facility documentation on JP Morgan’s behalf
  • Apply transactional, geographic, or sector expertise to identify mitigants and drive timely resolutions
  • Work within the internal controls framework and coordinate approvals for documentation deviations during negotiations
  • Contribute to broader projects and initiatives impacting the role and team

Key requirements

  • In-depth technical knowledge of loan documentation (LMA Syndicated Facilities; Financial Sponsor precedent terms)
  • Strong understanding of lending products and related legal agreements
  • Ability to identify problems and escalate promptly
  • Excellent coordination with a strong focus on risk and controls
  • Proven organizational skills under tight deadlines and good prioritization
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication with global stakeholders
  • Confident, proactive, assertive, and energetic
  • Ability to adapt to a rapidly-changing business and regulatory environment
