Senior Risk Analyst

Overview

As Senior Risk Analyst, you will own risk management for a major UK nuclear power project, ensuring robust, actionable risk data and forecasts. You will collaborate with project controls, risk leads, and senior stakeholders to drive governance, reporting, and data integrity. You’ll lead risk reviews, scenario planning, and training, while interfacing with contractors to manage program dependencies. Responsibilities

• Act as the lead risk contact for the assigned area, guiding stakeholders in identifying and managing risks
• Maintain risk data and opportunities in enterprise systems (e.g., ARM)
• Deliver high-quality risk/opportunity reports and Power BI dashboards to deadlines
• Coordinate schedule and cost inputs to ensure risk-informed delivery and portfolio estimates
• Facilitate risk, opportunity, and issue workshops, including scenario planning and quantitative risk analysis
• Collaborate with project controls and risk leads on contractor-held risks and dependencies
• Provide risk management and software training to project teams and apprentices

Key requirements

• Subject matter expert in risk management with knowledge of project controls, risk techniques, and performance insight tools
• Experience in nuclear or similarly regulated, complex sectors; construction experience is desirable
• Practical experience with enterprise risk systems (e.g., ARM) and data visualization (Power BI)
• Degree-level qualification or equivalent in project management, project controls, engineering, or related field (desirable)
• Industry-recognised risk management or project controls certifications are advantageous
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with excellent stakeholder engagement abilities
