Overview

In this Managing Director role, you will steer a Cardiff-based housing business delivering temporary and supportive accommodation in partnership with local authorities. You’ll translate strategic priorities into an actionable plan, lead the executive team, and balance commercial performance with high-quality resident outcomes. You will cultivate strong relationships with local authorities and partners, expand the accommodation portfolio, and uphold safeguarding and risk management standards. Responsibilities

• Set the business direction and translate priorities into an operating plan
• Lead the management team with clear accountability and people development
• Oversee commercial and operational performance balancing finance and service quality
• Maintain relationships with local-authority customers and partners
• Identify opportunities to grow the accommodation portfolio and services
• Ensure property standards, resident welfare, safeguarding, and risk management
• Use reporting to identify issues early and improve delivery

Key requirements

• Senior leadership experience with teams, operations, and commercial/financial performance
• Relevant experience in housing, temporary or supportive accommodation, homelessness services, or with local authorities
• Understanding of public-sector customer relationships, commissioning, and partnership working
• Judgement to balance growth, financial sustainability, and resident needs
