Overview

As an Azure Solution Architect, you shape AI-enabled cloud architectures and oversee end-to-end delivery on Microsoft Azure. You translate business needs into scalable, secure, and cost-optimised designs, collaborating with product owners, data scientists, and engineers. You drive architectural governance, landing zones, and responsible AI practices while leveraging Azure AI services to deliver high-impact solutions for clients.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of AI-driven applications on Azure across domains
• Define and enforce landing zone design and architectural standards for scalable, secure, and cost-efficient solutions
• Translate business requirements into comprehensive Azure architectures including data models, integration, and deployment strategies
• Evaluate Azure AI and platform services and integrate them into solution designs
• Leverage AI-powered tooling to accelerate architecture design, documentation, and delivery
• Design and oversee CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code practices (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Bicep/Terraform)
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to cross-functional teams
• Ensure compliance with GDPR, EU AI Act, and Azure security practices
• Conduct architectural reviews, performance and cost optimization, and security assessments
• Stay updated on Azure and AI technologies to enhance offerings
• Support business development and client engagements in Azure AI architecture

Key requirements

• Senior Cloud/Solution Architect experience with AI-driven Azure solutions
• Hands-on experience withAzure AI and data services (Azure OpenAI Service, Azure AI Foundry, Azure Machine Learning, Azure AI Search, Cognitive Services)
• Proficiency in IaC and CI/CD tools (Bicep, Terraform, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions)
• Strong knowledge of Azure core services (App Service, AKS, Functions, API Management, Event Hubs/Service Bus, Cosmos DB)
• Experience with data integration, governance, and security best practices for AI (Microsoft Purview)
• Understanding of Azure Well-Architected Framework and FinOps
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to lead and mentor technical teams; consulting experience is a plus
• Experience contributing to business development and client relationships
• Desirable certifications: AZ-305, AI-102; AZ-104, DP-203
