Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for an experienced and resilient Pastoral Support Worker to join a specialist SEMH school in the Dibden area, supporting students aged 8-16 years.
This is a challenging but highly rewarding environment, supporting young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, SEN and challenging behaviour.
As a Pastoral Support Worker, you will play a key role in supporting students with their emotional wellbeing, behaviour and engagement with education.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing one-to-one and small-group pastoral support.
- Supporting students with challenging behaviour and emotional regulation.
- Building positive and trusting relationships with young people.
- Helping students manage conflict and difficult situations.
- Supporting students to engage positively with learning and school routines.
- Working closely with teaching and support staff to implement behaviour and support strategies.
- Encouraging positive choices, resilience and independence.
- Providing a calm, consistent and supportive presence throughout the school day.
