Read Motor Group are an award-winning family-owned business representing the Hyundai and Volkswagen (authorised repairer) brands across Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire and Norfolk, with our head office based in Lincoln.
We are looking for a talented, creative and tech savvy Social Media and Marketing Assistant to join our growing team. With a passion for digital marketing and content creation you will play a key role in the strategic development and implementation of content to raise brand awareness across our media channels.
You will be a creative writer, have a good understanding of video / photo editing, as well as social media platforms.
Based at our head office and reporting directly to the Group Marketing Manager, your main responsibilities will include:
- Produce and edit high-quality video and photo content, as well as craft engaging copy for social media posts, and report on success
- Create engaging newsletters and work with our database to segment data to specifically target messages, reporting key statistics such as open and click rates
- Write website news content relevant to automotive trends and SEO search terms
- Use the website content management system to add content
- Work with our agency to produce campaign relevant website banners and graphics
- Assist with showroom and offsite events and product placement
- Any other ad hoc tasks
Our ideal candidate will have experience in copy writing, video editing, media sharing and email newsletters. The ability to turn a concept into compelling content whilst incorporating our brand voice and identity in digital content is essential for the position, alongside experience with B2C social media, email campaigns and SEO.
Self-motivated, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills is a key requirement for the role. Previous demonstrable experience in a similar role is essential for the position along with an understanding of digital marketing concepts and reporting / analytics tools.
We offer a great salary, pension and 30 days’ holiday including bank holidays rising to 33 days holiday including bank holidays on length of service.
Working hours are Monday – Friday 8.30am – 5.30pm with an hour lunch break.
