  • Understand customer requirements and recommend appropriate products and services based on their individual needs.

  • Research the market and identify opportunities to win new customers from competitors and new sectors.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer information using CRM and internal systems.
  • Support customer events, product demonstrations, exhibitions and promotional activities.
  • Monitor customer requirements throughout the lifecycle of their equipment and proactively recommend relevant products and services.
  • Work collaboratively with internal departments to ensure customers receive a high level of service.
  • Achieve agreed sales and customer acquisition targets.

About You

  • A proactive and commercially minded approach, with a genuine desire to generate sales.
  • Confident prospecting for new business and developing existing customer accounts.
  • Strong relationship-building and influencing skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Comfortable working towards sales targets and identifying opportunities to increase revenue.
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
  • Self-motivated, organised and able to manage your own workload.
  • Positive attitude with a strong work ethic and professional approach.
  • Comfortable working independently as well as part of a wider team.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
  • Willingness and ability to travel approximately 50% of the time for client meetings, exhibitions, events and customer visits.

Desirable

  • Experience within the agricultural, machinery, engineering, plant or technical equipment sectors would be advantageous, although applications from candidates with a strong sales background in other industries will also be considered.
