About the Role:
As a care assistant in our local area, you’ll provide personalised, one-to-one care in customers’ homes, respecting their individuality and promoting independence. You’ll travel within a designated area such as Emsworth, Hayling Island, or Portsmouth, delivering care and support as agreed between the customer and Caremark Portsmouth & Havant.
You will play a vital role in supporting people who need additional help due to age, illness, disability, or long-term health conditions. The care you provide is equal to what a family member would offer, with the added benefit of full training and quality standards.

Care Assistant with Older Customer
What You’ll Be Supporting With as a Care Assistant in Portsmouth & Havant:
- Washing, bathing & dressing
- Shopping & meal preparation
- Prompting and support with medication
- Support with daily routines and wellbeing
- Respite services
- Companionship
- Socialising and leisure activities
- Helping customers access their local community
We’re Looking For:
- Caring, kind, and sensitive nature
- Reliable, organised, and self‑motivated
- Flexible and adaptable
- Good communication skills
- Commitment to high standards of care
- Full UK driving licence
- Experience welcome but not essential – full training provided
You’ll Receive:
- Excellent pay rates – £13.60 per hour
- Rolled up Holiday Pay – taking your hourly rate to £15.24 per hour
- Bank holiday rate up to £19.72 and Christmas at up to £21.60
