Overview
In this role you will contribute to planning policy projects within a multidisciplinary team, supporting local authority policy development and strategic studies. You will engage with clients and stakeholders to secure planning outcomes and may work on infrastructure and development initiatives. Responsibilities
- Carry out research and analysis for planning policy projects
- Assist in policy development, local plan evidence studies and strategic growth studies
- Formulate strategic planning advice for clients and internal teams
- Develop and manage relationships with clients, authorities and stakeholders
- Support project management to deliver on budget and timelines
- Coordinate multi-disciplinary teams and ensure QA and health and safety principles
- Contribute to business development and tender preparation
Key requirements
- Relevant experience in planning policy and strategy development in consultancy or public sector
- Strong client and stakeholder relations and collaborative working approach
- Business development mindset with experience in winning work and client relationship building
- Ability to produce high quality technical reports and communicate effectively
- Self-motivated, able to work under pressure with initiative
- Degree in Town Planning and RTPI membership or working towards membership
