Overview
As an Electronic Systems Engineer, you will lead system-level electronic design from concept to deployment, shaping architectures and interfaces for integrated hardware. You’ll work with mechanical, firmware, software, and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless integration and compliance with safety and EMC standards. You’ll own interconnects between subsystems and external equipment, delivering robust schematics, wiring diagrams, and interface documentation. This role offers cross-functional collaboration, hands-on integration, and the chance to contribute to critical defence technology.

Responsibilities
- Define system architectures and interconnects for complete electronic solutions
- Break down equipment and subsystems into defined functions, interfaces and responsibilities
- Produce high-quality system schematics, wiring diagrams, and interface control documents
- Lead validation, acceptance testing, and deployment activities
- Coordinate with mechanical, firmware, software, and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless integration
- Conduct root cause analysis and ensure compliance with safety, EMC, and regulatory standards
Key requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline
- Strong experience in system-level electronic design and integration
- Proven ability to define equipment architectures, interconnects, and interfaces
- Solid understanding of analogue and digital electronics
- Ability to read and produce system schematics, wiring diagrams, block diagrams, and technical documentation
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills
- Experience with systems design tools (DOORS, Rhapsody, MATLAB Simulink)
