Overview

As a Product Designer at Rakuten Viber, you will shape the end-to-end experience for money-related flows in a super-app. You’ll work closely with product and engineering teams in the UK and design peers in Israel to scale Viber Pay and integrate AI-driven features. You’ll own the design process from discovery to delivery, balancing clarity, trust, and usability in fintech flows. This role offers hands-on research, collaboration across locations, and a clear path to impact KPIs and business outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the full design process: discovery, research, prototyping, testing, final design
  • Own design for financial flows: onboarding, sending/receiving money, transaction history, identity verification
  • Apply and advance AI tools across research, ideation, prototyping, and workflow automation
  • Shape AI-driven product features within a super-app integrating AI into UX
  • Conduct hands-on research: user interviews, usability tests, data-driven analysis
  • Contribute to and evolve the design system used across Viber products
  • Ensure design decisions align with product KPIs and business outcomes
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across locations (UK and Israel)

Key requirements

  • 5+ years in product design for B2C mobile, preferably fintech/payments/digital wallets
  • Owns framing problems to shipping outcomes without prompting
  • Data-driven: analyzes metrics and analytics to inform solutions
  • Strong UX foundation with meticulous attention to detail (microcopy, edge cases, error states, micro-interactions)
  • Experience with regulated/compliance-adjacent flows (identity verification, onboarding, transaction limits)
  • Comfortable conducting and receiving feedback in team rituals and cross-location syncs
