Advanced Clinical Pharmacist – Clinical Haematology

Overview

In this role you will provide specialist clinical pharmacy and medicines optimisation for patients with complex haematology needs. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to shape and develop a high-quality, sustainable service across Cardiff and Vale. You will mentor colleagues, support professional development, and lead service-improvement efforts to enhance patient care. Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, mentorship and education for pharmacy staff and less experienced colleagues
• Support learning and development of medical and nursing staff within the multidisciplinary team
• Contribute to service development and quality improvement initiatives
• Optimise medicines use within haematology and ensure safe, effective, patient-centred care
• Collaborate with wider healthcare teams to uphold high standards of clinical practice
• Develop leadership, clinical and service-improvement skills and contribute to the care of patients with complex haematological conditions

Key requirements

• GPhC registered
• MRPharmS
• Diploma or equivalent
• Independent prescriber
• Hospital pharmacy experience
• Supervisory experience
• Directorate experience
• Haematology pharmacy experience (desirable)
• Management experience (desirable)
