Estate Manager

Overview

In this role you will manage the day-to-day estate operations at Darrick Wood School, overseeing premises and grounds to provide a clean, safe, and secure environment for all users. You will work closely with external contractors and the Trust Estates Manager to align with school and trust estates strategy. A key focus is maintaining legal compliance, including Health and Safety, and developing the Planned Preventative Maintenance regime to the required standards. This is a hands-on position that supports safe, efficient operation of the school facilities, with an opportunity to shape maintenance practices and site performance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day site management of school premises and grounds
• Coordinate hard and soft services and supervise staff involved with the estate
• Liaise with external contractors to ensure smooth operations
• Ensure legal compliance, including Health and Safety
• Manage Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and continuous improvement
• Align estates activities with School and Trust estates strategy and policy
