M&E Technical Services Design Manager (Developer)

Overview

In this client-side role for a prominent London developer, you will lead external M&E design teams to deliver compliant, buildable technical documentation within programme and budget. You’ll coordinate cross‑department meetings to capture actions and drive design decisions that align with the project brief. You will scrutinise drawings and specs, explore value engineering options, and ensure supplier information and specifications are up to date. This is a hands‑on role with exposure to high‑profile residential, commercial, and mixed‑use schemes that shape signature developments.

Responsibilities

• Lead external M&E design team and specialists to meet programme and budget
• Plan and chair DTM meetings with other departments, recording actions
• Review design drawings, specs, and details for compliance, buildability, and VE options
• Distribute project specifications to stakeholders
• Receive, coordinate, and check specialist subcontractor and supplier information
• Attend specialist supplier and subcontract meetings as required
• Stay current with building products, techniques, and relevant regulations impacting duties
