Audit Manager Expanding Practice

Overview

In this role you will lead audit engagements across multiple sectors within a Top 20 UK firm, ensuring delivery to high standards. You will work closely with clients and the audit team to manage relationships, risks and deadlines, shaping the audit process and contributing to advisory work. You’ll supervise and develop junior staff while maintaining strong client contact throughout the engagement. Responsibilities

• Lead audit engagements across multiple sectors
• Plan assignments, identify key risks and ensure auditing standards compliance
• Review audit files, financial statements and supporting documentation
• Supervise, train and review the work of audit staff
• Act as a key client contact throughout the audit process
• Support workflow planning, team organisation and continuous improvement
• Contribute to advisory projects including due diligence, internal controls and technical accounting matters

Key requirements

• ACA or ACCA qualification
• Minimum 5 years’ PQE in audit within an accountancy practice
• Strong knowledge of auditing standards and financial reporting frameworks (FRS 102; IFRS knowledge advantageous)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with MyWorkPapers or similar audit software
• Strong Microsoft Excel and Word skills
• Ability to manage deadlines and competing priorities effectively
