Senior Java Developer

Overview

In this role you will help deliver the next generation Custody technology through end-to-end Java development in a delivery-focused team. You collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into robust solutions and contribute to design and system architectures. You will work proactively and independently to mitigate delivery risks and ensure high-quality, clean code. This position offers exposure to modern event-driven patterns and a cross-functional environment, with opportunities to shape scalable financial services software.

Responsibilities

• Deliver end-to-end software solutions for custody technology
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align delivery with requirements
• Provide technical and functional expertise to the team
• Work proactively to address project requirements and communicate risks
• Contribute to design and system architectures

Key requirements

• Strong event-driven architecture design and development
• Java experience with modern IoC frameworks
• Experience in mixed/virtual/diverse team environments
• Passion for writing clean code
• Bachelor’s degree in technology disciplines
• Desirable: financial services experience
• Experience with CICD/agile delivery mechanisms
• Knowledge of resilient enterprise systems
• Knowledge of mainframe development technologies (COBOL, CICS, VSAM)
• Experience with pub/sub infrastructure (Kafka) and SQL/No-SQL databases
