Are you a confident Support Worker with experience in forensic, complex care or behaviours that challenge?

ASA Recruitment is looking for experienced Support Workers to support individuals with forensic histories, complex needs, mental health needs and behaviours that can present significant challenges.

This is a rewarding role for someone who can stay calm under pressure, build meaningful relationships and use positive, person centred approaches to support people to live more independently.

You’ll use your experience in Positive Behaviour Support and structured support to help create safe, consistent and positive environments.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Provide person-centred support to individuals with forensic and complex support needs.
  • Support people experiencing behaviours that challenge, using agreed PBS and behavioural support strategies.
  • Follow care plans, risk assessments, behaviour support plans and crisis plans.
  • Use trauma-informed approaches to understand and respond to individual needs.
  • Remain calm and professional during periods of distress, heightened behaviour or crisis.
  • Support with medication in line with MAR charts and agreed procedures.
  • Promote independence through daily living, personal care, activities and community engagement.
  • Build positive relationships based on trust, consistency, respect and professional boundaries.
  • Recognise and report changes in health, wellbeing or behaviour.
  • Work alongside families, social care professionals and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Complete accurate daily notes, incident reports and care documentation.

About You

  • Right to Work in the UK and available for up to full time work (36 Hours per week)
  • 6+ months’ experience in forensic, complex care or behaviours that challenge.
  • Confidence using PBS and trauma-informed approaches.
  • Experience supporting people with forensic histories, complex needs or higher-risk presentations.
  • The ability to stay calm, consistent and professional when situations become challenging.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build trusting, positive relationships.
  • Confidence following risk assessments, behaviour support plans and care plans.
  • A person-centred approach, with strong professional boundaries and resilience.
  • Flexibility to work days, nights and weekends.
  • Current CALM, MAPA, PMVA or CPI training is preferred.
