  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 8.15am – 4.15pm

Are you a science graduate with an interest in QC Laboratory Equipment and related software?

Do you have strong IT skills, excellent attention to detail and a willingness to learn? Are you looking to build a career within a GMP-regulated pharmaceutical environment?

As a Laboratory Equipment Support Officer within QC Systems, you’ll join a supportive team responsible for the computerised systems and equipment that support our Quality Control laboratory. No previous laboratory experience is required – full training will be provided.

What will you be doing?

  • Support QC laboratory computerised systems and coordinate the calibration, servicing and qualification of laboratory equipment.
  • Develop your skills to become a System Administrator for QC systems, including LIMS , maintaining static data, workflows and methods.
  • Provide technical support and advice to laboratory end-users.
  • Support the installation, upgrades and management of laboratory software systems.
  • Participate in the qualification of new laboratory equipment, including supporting protocols and reports.
  • Apply analytical and problem-solving skills to identify, communicate and resolve issues.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement across laboratory processes and systems.

What are we looking for?

We’re looking for a proactive science graduate with a degree (or equivalent) in a relevant scientific discipline, who is enthusiastic about technology and keen to develop their technical skills.

You’ll also have:

  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to follow procedures accurately.
  • Good IT skills and a basic understanding of hardware, software and networks.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • An interest in laboratory equipment, computerised systems and technology.
  • Good communication, organisational and documentation skills.
  • An aptitude for practical maintenance and technical fault-finding.
  • A collaborative approach and willingness to learn.

Desirable:

Experience with laboratory equipment, processes, LIMS or working within a GMP-regulated pharmaceutical QC laboratory.
