Site Technical Manager – Food Manufacturing

Overview

In this senior role, you will lead the site’s technical function and manage a dedicated management team to shape technical strategy, food safety culture, and continuous improvement. You will safeguard safety, legality and quality, overseeing HACCP and QMS while driving audits with customers and third parties. You’ll partner with senior stakeholders to align technical performance with business goals and customer expectations. Responsibilities

• Lead the site’s technical function and supervise the Factory Technical Manager, Technical Services Manager and Compliance Manager
• Own food safety, quality, HACCP, QMS, retailer compliance and customer/third-party audits
• Oversee KPI-driven performance for technical metrics and compliance
• Drive the technical strategy and continuous improvement initiatives across the site
• Support customer engagement and audit processes with external partners
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure regulatory and retailer code compliance
• Develop and mentor the technical team to build capability and succession planning

Key requirements

• Technical Manager with a food manufacturing background
• Experience with BRC standards and retailer codes of practice
• Proven leadership of technical teams and stakeholder management
• Strong knowledge of HACCP and QMS frameworks
• Track record of managing audits and achieving compliance goals
