Overview

Join TLT’s Financial Regulation and Disputes team in Bristol as a Senior Associate. You will handle a varied contentious caseload for major financial services clients and supervise junior colleagues, contributing to strategic dispute resolution and client relationships. You’ll work with top UK and international banks and help develop know-how and business opportunities. This role sits at the heart of a leading, collaborative team that shapes complex financial services litigation and advisory work.

Responsibilities

  • Run a varied contentious caseload for key financial services clients
  • Supervise and mentor junior team members
  • Provide strategic and commercial legal advice on disputes and claims
  • Engage in business development with clients and prospects
  • Contribute to production of legal updates and know-how development

Key requirements

  • Qualified Solicitor (SRA or Law Society Registered)
  • 4–6PQE preferred, open to suitably experienced candidates
  • Experience running own caseload with understanding of CPR and litigation process
  • Desirable: experience in financial litigation (or insurance, property, or commercial litigation)
  • Experience supervising or line managing Associates, Trainees or Paralegals
  • Analytical, well-organised, proactive, and able to manage deadlines
  • Commercially aware with a track record in client relationship management
  • Ability to understand client’s business needs and act in firm and client interests
  • Team-oriented with a collaborative approach to developing junior staff
