Overview
In this role you will lead the FP&A function for Saga Travel, shaping financial insight to support commercial decision‑making across a 500m+ turnover business. You will manage a large finance team and partner closely with the CFO and CEO to strengthen financial performance and drive long‑term value creation. The role covers end‑to‑end planning, budgeting, forecasting, KPI governance and executive reporting. It offers high impact leadership and a clear path toward senior leadership.

Responsibilities
- Own travel-wide financial planning integrity, P&L accuracy, and a cohesive narrative for decision making
- Lead FP&A ownership of revenue, gross profit, marketing and overheads with exec insight
- Drive cross‑functional alignment to ensure finance shapes commercial decisions
- Oversee end‑to‑end P&L ownership and planning cycle across multiple functions
- Lead Five‑Year Plan, budgeting and forecasting with standardized processes
- Build and lead a high‑performing FP&A team with scalable processes
- Manage planning systems and models, driving automation and data integrity
- Lead month-end P&L reviews with robust analytical scrutiny
- Partner with commercial, operations, product and marketing to deliver value‑added insights
- Provide commercial risk/return assessments to inform exec decision making
Key requirements
- Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with senior FP&A/Commercial Finance experience
- Proven ownership of planning and performance, including budgeting, forecasting and P&L accountability
- Strong commercial modelling capability with understanding of customer, product, pricing and market drivers
- Exceptional stakeholder influence at c-suite and Board level
- Track record of leading high-performing finance teams with scalable, insight-driven planning
- High proficiency in planning, analytics and MI tools with automation experience
