Overview

In this role you will own and grow a regional portfolio of healthcare customers, building senior relationships and translating NHS and other healthcare priorities into outcome-led conversations. You will orchestrate SCC’s people, partners and services to deliver measurable value, drive multi-year transformation opportunities, and protect revenue and margins. You work across the healthcare ecosystem to shape regional growth as a trusted transformation partner.

Responsibilities

  • Own account strategy, engagement plan and commercial performance for a portfolio of healthcare customers
  • Understand customer strategy, environment, technology estate, stakeholders and investment plans
  • Build executive-level relationships across clinical, digital, operational and procurement stakeholders
  • Create account plans outlining outcomes, whitespace, growth plays and risks
  • Coordinate executive sponsorship and wider SCC engagement to strengthen relationships and confidence
  • Create, qualify and progress a healthy, region-aligned pipeline
  • Lead opportunity strategy from early engagement to close, including governance and win themes
  • Translate healthcare priorities into outcome-led discussions and connect to SCC capabilities
  • Champion solutions improving resilience, productivity, staff/patient experience and value for money
  • Ensure smooth handover to delivery and maintain regular strategic reviews
  • Act as orchestrator of the wider SCC account team and collaborate with technology partners
  • Provide accurate forecasts, maintain opportunity records and manage governance and compliance
  • Deliver revenue, gross margin and pipeline objectives for the region and portfolio
  • Maintain customer satisfaction and effective cross-business collaboration

Key requirements

  • Proven success in strategic account management, business development or complex solution sales in enterprise or public sector
  • Experience with NHS organisations, Integrated Care Boards, health boards or private providers
  • Ability to influence multiple stakeholders through complex decision-making and procurement
  • Ability to create account strategies, build pipeline, forecast accurately and close complex opportunities
  • Strong commercial acumen including revenue, margin, risk, value propositions and negotiation
  • Ability to orchestrate multidisciplinary teams and partners around customer outcomes
  • Excellent written, presentation, questioning, listening and stakeholder-management skills
