Associate / AD / TD Civil Engineer

Overview

In this senior civil engineering role, you will lead development infrastructure design and delivery for a varied portfolio, shaping projects from residential to mixed-use developments. You’ll manage technical work while growing the civil engineering team and cultivating client relationships within a well-funded, multi-disciplinary group. The role combines hands-on design expertise with leadership and business development, offering a platform to influence projects and advance the team. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality outcomes and sustainable infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, delivery and management of development infrastructure schemes
• Develop and maintain client relationships; contribute to business development and winning new work
• Mentor and grow the civil engineering team; provide technical leadership
• Deliver high-quality drainage and estate roads design for developments
• Collaborate across sectors (Residential, Commercial, Higher Education, Mixed-use) and ensure integration with wider project teams
• Contribute to shaping the direction and growth of the civil engineering team

Key requirements

• Strong experience in civil engineering consultancy
• Proven background in development infrastructure design
• Excellent knowledge of drainage and estate roads
• Experience with Civil 3D and/or MicroDrainage
• Strong client-facing and communication skills
• Experience leading, mentoring or building teams
• Interest in developing client relationships and winning work
• Chartered status with ICE or CIWEM (ideally)
