Our client is a leading London based recycling and waste management organisation supporting construction, commercial, local authority and waste-sector clients with sustainable resource management.

They are seeking an experienced HR & People Coordinator to support the Head of HR & People with day-to-day HR administration and people-related activities across the business. The role will support the full employee lifecycle while contributing to HR projects, employee engagement and best practice.

Key Responsibilities

n

    n

  • Manage HR administration including contracts, offer letters, Right to Work checks, references, probation, changes to terms and leaver processes.
  • n

  • Coordinate the HR induction programme and maintain accurate employee records and HR systems.
  • n

  • Support absence management, return-to-work meetings, medical referrals and workplace adjustments.
  • n

  • Assist with disciplinary, capability and grievance processes, including minute-taking.
  • n

  • Support recruitment activities including advertising, candidate screening, interview coordination and candidate feedback.
  • n

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date job descriptions and the job role library.
  • n

  • Support employee engagement surveys and wider HR projects.
  • n

  • Coordinate training and development administration, including apprenticeships, work experience and management training.
  • n

  • Assist with the annual appraisal process.
  • n

  • Maintain employee data and support HR reporting.
  • n

  • Travel to other sites on an ad-hoc basis when required.
  • n

Requirements

n

    n

  • Previous experience in HR administration, ideally within a multi-site organisation.
  • n

  • Good knowledge of HR processes and practices.
  • n

  • Experience using HR systems and producing HR reports.
  • n

  • CIPD Level 3 or equivalent preferred.
  • n

  • Experience in the construction/waste management sector – desirable
  • n

  • The successful candidate must be able to drive and travel to other depot locations as required
  • n

  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • n

  • Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.
  • n

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • n

  • Professional, empathetic and confidential approach.
  • n

  • Ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines.
  • n

  • Proactive and collaborative approach with the ability to work independently.
  • n
