Overview
In this role you will lead credit and risk assessment for the EMEA region, shaping how the business extends credit and manages exposure. You will partner with various departments to advise on risk issues and to balance risk with opportunity. You will oversee monitoring of overdue accounts, guide debt recovery strategies, and maintain risk reporting for senior management. This position offers a chance to influence risk culture across a multinational trading context and contribute to smarter, data-driven decisions.

Responsibilities
- Assess and analyze credit risk for EMEA customers and provide guidance to staff
- Recommend credit lines and investment decisions based on quantitative and qualitative analyses
- Engage with risk investigation agencies, insurers, lawyers, and insolvency administrators
- Monitor overdue/over-credit situations and drive root-cause analysis and recovery actions
- Create and execute debt recovery strategies across the EMEA region
- Educate business staff to improve risk awareness and processes
- Produce risk-related reports for senior management and head office
- Identify significant risks within the territory and propose solutions
- Consolidate and report risk positions to management for decision-making
- Prepare written risk reports including over-credit/overdue metrics
- Demonstrate proactive, cross-functional collaboration in risk management
Key requirements
- 5–7 years of experience in credit and risk management (B2B) in multinational trading companies, credit insurers, or banks
- Strong ability to assess credit, trade, market and country risk for trading entities within EMEA
- Proactive attitude with passion for risk management
- Undergraduate degree in Maths, Economics, Finance, legal or related subject
- Industry exposure to Chemical/Steel/Food is a plus
- Legal background welcomed
