Finance Manager

Overview

In this Finance Manager role you will support the CFO and steer the company’s financial health through accurate reporting, policy development, and governance across multiple entities. You will lead a small finance team, oversee month-end processes, and ensure compliant, timely statements for UK/US standards. The role sits at the heart of expansion, driving operational efficiency and financial controls in a high-growth, consumer-focused environment. You work closely with stakeholders to enable scalable growth and sound financial decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end month-end process and closings
• Oversee preparation of financial statements under UK/US standards
• Ensure timely internal and external financial reporting
• Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures
• Perform general ledger entries and reconciliations (Mth/Quarter/Year)
• Oversee VAT returns (UK) and other jurisdictional filings
• Manage three direct reports and support operational audit processes
• Review POs, monitor stock, and manage COGS adjustments

Key requirements

• ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified
• Degree in Finance/Accounting or related field preferred
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and UK accounting standards
• Experience with end-to-end month-end, management accounts, AR/AP, and payroll
• Hands-on with multi-entity reporting, intercompany reconciliations and FX entries
• Proven leadership and ability to develop a high-performing team
• Excellent communication with internal and external stakeholders
• Proficiency with Xero and QuickBooks; Spotlight reporting tools; Shopify/Stripe integrations desirable
