Overview
In this Regulatory Disputes role, you advise clients on compliance and investigations across the lifecycle, shaping regulatory strategy and responses. You will work within a cross-office team, handling high-impact matters for major national and international businesses. The role combines preventative compliance, investigations, regulator engagement, and contentious processes, with opportunities to broaden experience in related regulatory areas. You will contribute to a collaborative culture that emphasizes client exposure, growth, and well-supported development.

Responsibilities
- Advise on ABC, FTPF, Modern Slavery regulatory obligations
- Support investigations: strategy, information requests, document review, disclosures, interview prep
- Provide non-contentious Health & Safety guidance (building safety, fire safety, policy development)
- Assist crisis and contentious matters: regulator engagement, interviews under caution, prosecutions
- Deliver due diligence across compliance and risk
- Support cross-regulatory areas (healthcare, digital, environmental, etc.) when needed
Key requirements
- Demonstrable experience in regulatory compliance and investigations
- Advising on regulatory frameworks and compliance obligations
- Conducting internal investigations and regulator-facing strategy
- Drafting responses to information notices and supporting regulatory interviews, inspections, or hearings
- Experience in ABC, FTPF, Modern Slavery, and Health & Safety (not essential for all)
- Strong analytical skills and excellent drafting ability
- Confident client handling and concise, solutions-led advice
- Flexibility to support parallel regulatory areas as needed
- Experience with parallel civil, criminal, or public law issues is advantageous
