Duties as a Food Technology Teacher:
- Teach Food Technology across Key Stages 3 and 4
- Deliver engaging practical and theory-based lessons
- Promote healthy eating, nutrition, and food preparation skills
- Assess, monitor, and report on student progress
- Maintain high standards of health and safety within practical lessons
- Support students in developing confidence and independence
- Contribute to the wider Design & Technology department
Ideal Food Technology:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience teaching Food Technology within a secondary school setting
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, nutrition, and food safety
- Excellent classroom management skills
- Ability to inspire and engage students of all abilities
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
