You’ll take responsibility for your own KS2 class while working closely with colleagues across the phase.
You’ll:
Plan and deliver engaging lessons that build knowledge and confidence.
Adapt teaching to support pupils with different abilities and learning needs.
Track pupil progress and use assessment to shape future learning.
Create a calm, positive and purposeful classroom.
Encourage independence, resilience and a love of learning.
Work alongside teaching assistants to provide targeted support.
Build strong relationships with pupils and families.
Contribute to school trips, clubs and enrichment activities.
Work collaboratively with colleagues to continually improve teaching and learning.
The successful candidate will:
Hold Qualified Teacher Status.
Have suitable primary teaching experience or ECT placements.
Understand the KS2 National Curriculum.
Have strong communication and organisational skills.
Create positive relationships with children.
Demonstrate a commitment to inclusive education.
Be enthusiastic about becoming part of the wider school community.
An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service is required, or you must be willing to obtain one.
