Chief Engineer – Electrification of process industries, high, medium and low voltage

Overview

As Chief Engineer in Ramboll’s Power Systems, you lead electrical and power-system design across high, medium and low voltage for complex industrial and energy projects. You’ll work with clients and multidisciplinary teams to shape technically sound solutions from feasibility to detailed engineering. You’ll guide scope, advise clients as Owners Engineer, and contribute to high-quality delivery and strong relationships. This role blends technical leadership with client advisory in electrification of process industries.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design of low voltage and medium voltage systems per applicable standards
• Guide the technical scope and manage smaller to mid-sized engineering teams
• Act as the client’s technical advisor and Owners Engineer
• Prepare technical specifications for transformers, switchgear, cables, earthing and lightning protection
• Provide technical input for procurement and handle clarifications during execution
• Participate in factory and site acceptance testing
• Contribute to sales and proposal efforts

Key requirements

• Power Systems & LV/MV engineering experience
• Experience managing projects and engineering teams
• Commercial mindset and client-facing experience
• Strong English oral and written skills
• BSc/MSc in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
