Overview
In this role you enable ORDG’s governed data products and shared AI services to be reusable across the firm, serving as a bridge between governance foundations and consuming platforms. You will define enterprise data contracts and standard consumption patterns, drive adoption, and prevent capability sprawl. You’ll coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure safe, scalable data and AI usage while keeping governance at the forefront. This is a chance to shape how the firm delivers data and AI capabilities with a “build once, reuse safely” mindset.
Responsibilities
- Understand data-usage requirements across firm platforms and translate them into governed consumption patterns
- Own enterprise data contracts including SLAs, versioning, deprecation and change communication
- Publish standard consumption patterns (APIs, Data Mesh products, event topics) to prevent duplication
- Drive adoption of ORDG shared AI services and consolidate overlapping capabilities
- Partner on lifecycle, quality gates, and certification of consumer-facing products
- Manage consumer onboarding and post-go-live health of relationships
- Maintain the shared-service catalogue with ownership, consumption, and adoption details
- Measure and report adoption, contract compliance, and avoided rebuilds
- Instrument consumption telemetry and feed adoption signals into product backlog
- Support cross-functional prioritisation and represent the consumer voice in planning
- Coach teams on reuse principles and codify new shared services
Key requirements
- Experience in data-product enablement, platform product management or equivalent cross-consumer role in financial services
- Defined and run enterprise data contracts with multiple consumer teams
- Knowledge of REST/GraphQL APIs, event streams, Data Mesh products, semantic layers
- Track record delivering shared services and preventing duplicated build across teams
- Strong stakeholder management across Technology, Product Owners, Data Science, and business owners
- Excellent written and verbal communication for senior management and non-specialists
- Ability to manage multiple parallel workstreams with quality and discipline
- Familiarity with AI tools including LLMs and governance for safe AI consumption
