Overview
In this Lead Product Manager role, you will own Prescribe, the AI-powered guidance system that matches learners with the right programme and enables a confident start. You will partner with design, data, and GTM/fulfilment to drive conversion, retention, and programme fit at scale. You’ll shape AI-first experiences, govern eligibility rules, and orchestrate the end-to-end journey from recommendation to commitment. This is a high-impact, cross-functional role shaping a product-powered, AI-native platform at a fast-growing edtech company.

Responsibilities
- Own AI-native product experiences and define where AI adds value, with guardrails for trustworthiness.
- Translate learner behavior into strategic direction and build evaluation mechanisms.
- Own prescription and eligibility logic linking learner skills to programmes and levy funding, with configurable compliance rules.
- Ensure every recommendation is explainable and challenger-friendly for learners and customers.
- Manage the journey from recommendation to commitment, identifying high-leverage drop-off points and guiding experimentation.
- Collaborate with GTM, Operations and Data to improve attribution and funnel quality.
- Own conversion metrics (prospect to committed learner) and champion hypothesis-led experimentation.
- Co-own strategy and roadmap with the Senior Engineering Manager; involve cross-functional teams early; represent Prescribe in leadership roadmap discussions.
Key requirements
- Substantial PM experience with a track record of improving growth metrics (acquisition, activation, retention, automation).
- Strong data skills: analysis, cohort studies, dashboards.
- Experience designing and running rigorous A/B and multivariate experiments.
- Strong UX instincts and focus on sustainable long-term strategies.
- Ability to align cross-functional teams without formal authority (commercial, GTM, operations).
- Hands-on experience building AI/LLM-powered features to generate or personalise content.
