We’re one of the UK’s leading parcel businesses, and we’re continuing to invest in our people, our operations and our future.We’re looking for an experienced and motivated Night Shift Supervisor to join our Pen Y Bont Depot and help keep our operation moving through the night.The role As our Night Shift Supervisor, you’ll be at the heart of a busy, fast-paced operation. You’ll lead a team of up to 50 colleagues , setting clear priorities, driving performance and making sure we deliver for our customers.Our Night shift typically operates 5 days over 7 starting around 22:00, although finish times can vary depending on parcel volumes.This is a role for someone who enjoys taking ownership, solving problems and getting the best from people. You’ll need to think on your feet, make confident decisions and work collaboratively with colleagues across the depot.What you’ll be doing You’ll be responsible for:Leading and providing direction to a team of up to 50 direct reportsCoaching, developing and training colleagues to help them perform at their bestDriving performance and ensuring Night shift SLAs are achievedEnsuring compliance with all site HSES rules and regulationsProcessing BI and MI reports relating to Driver and Loader performanceManaging priorities, deadlines and deliverables across individual projectsIdentifying challenges and finding practical solutions in a fast-moving environmentWorking collaboratively with your peers to support the wider depot operationWhat we’re looking for You’ll be a confident people leader who can remain focused when the pressure is on.Ideally, you’ll bring:Previous management experience leading and motivating a teamExperience within a fast-paced logistics environment, xwwtmva although relevant experience from other sectors is also welcomedThe ability to use your own initiative and deliver against tight deadlinesStrong organisational and prioritisation skillsGood PC skills, including a working knowledge of Microsoft OfficeAn understanding of Transport Regulations would be an advantageA collaborative approach with the confidence to take the lead when neededReady to take the lead?
