Overview
In this HR Advisor role, you provide a proactive HR service to designated business areas, partnering with People Leaders to implement policies and drive the People Strategy. You’ll support employee relations, policy development, and compliance across contracts, and contribute to key HR projects. The position offers cross-site collaboration, exposure to TUPE and risk management, and opportunities to influence people practices within Robertson’s growing business.

Responsibilities
- Deliver an effective HR service to assigned business areas and support policy implementation
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and advise leaders on HR practices
- Monitor HR activities with managers for compliance and guidance
- Assist with HR projects aligned to the People Strategy and Plan
- Develop and implement HR policies and processes ( disciplinary, grievance, performance management, absence management, redundancy, onboarding, TUPE)
- Represent HR at business meetings and support L&D partners across the employee lifecycle
- Provide employee relations case management for matters including attendance, performance, grievance, disciplinary, restructures and re-evaluation of posts
- Manage maternity, paternity, adoption and flexible working requests
- Support TUPE programmes at bid stages and in operations, coordinating with trade unions and partners
- Maintain terminations of changes to terms and conditions and update People Platform records
- Contribute to operational reports on engagement, sickness absence and turnover
- Ensure DBS/PVG checks where required and manage risk assessments and renewals
- Respond to information requests from Bid Teams across Robertson Group companies
Key requirements
- Previous experience in an HR advisory role
- HR Degree or equivalent
- Member of CIPD or willing to work towards membership
- Planning, prioritising and time-management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent negotiating and mediation skills and ability to work under pressure
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel
- TUPE experience would be advantageous
