Overview

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor in Edinburgh, you will lead commercial delivery on a portfolio of high-profile projects for a well-established Tier 1 contractor. You join a supported commercial team, shaping cost control, procurement, and change processes from pre-construction through final account. You’ll collaborate with site teams and stakeholders to protect commercial outcomes on large-scale refurbishments, new builds, and fit-out works. Responsibilities

• Full commercial management of live projects
• Procurement and management of subcontract packages
• Valuations, CVRs, forecasting and reporting
• Managing variations and change control
• Supporting and mentoring junior commercial staff
• Collaborating with project and delivery teams to protect commercial outcomes

Key requirements

• Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within a main contractor
• Experience delivering large-scale new build, refurbishment or fit-out projects
• Strong understanding of commercial processes, cost control and subcontract management
• Confident communicator with internal teams and external stakeholders
• Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or related discipline (or equivalent)
