Are you a Sales Engineer, Technical Sales Engineer or Applications Engineer looking for a role where you can sharpen your technical and commercial skills, take ownership of complex specifications and become the go-to technical expert for a respected engineering business?
On offer is a fantastic opportunity that provides long term development in a varied role, working from initial enquiry through to quotation and order, producing technically robust proposals that meet customer requirements.
You will be joining a global organisation known for quality, precision and continuous improvement, with the chance to work closely with a wider group network, OEMs, chassis manufacturers, bodybuilders and third-party suppliers.
In this role you will prepare technical drawings, specifications and weight calculations for body-mounted equipment, ensure compliance with chassis manufacturer requirements, support tenders/bids and resolve technical specification issues alongside Sales and Workshop teams.
This role would suit a technically minded engineer who enjoys customer interaction and problem solving, and wants to build long-term technical credibility in a business that values engineering-led solutions.
The Role
- Creating technical drawings, specifications and weight calculations for body-mounted equipment
- Supporting bids, tenders, proposals and quotations with accurate technical information
- Providing technical support across Sales, Sales Support and Workshop teams
- Monday to Friday (39 hours per week) with occasional travel to meetings/events
The Person
- Degree-qualified in Mechanical Engineering / Automotive Engineering (or related discipline)
- Experience in a technical engineering environment (e.g. sales engineering, applications, proposals, design/specification)
- Comfortable interpreting technical drawings/specifications and communicating with technical/non-technical stakeholders
