About the School:We’re working with a specialist SEND school in Rochdale that supports young people aged 11–19 with a wide range of complex special educational needs, including autism, ADHD, and complex communication needs. This is an exciting opportunity to join a specialist provision, helping learners build the communication, social and life skills they need to thrive.

About the Role:As a SEND Behaviour Support Worker, you’ll support learners with complex learning needs, working within a person-centred, holistic approach rather than a traditional curriculum. You’ll build consistent, trusted relationships with your learners, adapting your communication to support their needs, and helping them develop confidence, independence and life skills day to day.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a patient, relationship-focused professional who wants to make a genuine, lasting difference to the lives of young people with complex needs.

  • Confidence adapting communication style to suit individual learners, including non-verbal and complex communicators

  • Emotional and physical resilience, with a person-centred mindset when working with complex needs
  • Strong team-working skills and a genuine desire to make a positive, lasting impact

To Be Eligible You Must:

  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Have an enhanced DBS certificate already on the update service or be willing to apply for a new one
  • Provide two professional references from child-related roles
  • Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
