Overview

In this role, you will support UK and international tax compliance, reporting and strategic initiatives within a global engineering consultancy. You will work with senior stakeholders, overseas finance teams and external advisors to ensure tax obligations are met while building expertise across corporate tax, international compliance, transfer pricing and group reporting. You will help strengthen tax governance and improve reporting processes, including Pillar Two obligations, contributing to the firm’s sustainable growth. This is a chance to influence tax strategy across a diverse, international business.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare UK corporation tax computations and returns
  • Calculate corporation tax liabilities, instalment payments and cash tax forecasting
  • Coordinate overseas corporation tax compliance and monitor filing deadlines
  • Collaborate with external tax advisors and international finance teams to meet obligations
  • Prepare quarterly and annual tax provisions for Group reporting
  • Maintain tax balance sheet reconciliations and supporting documentation
  • Support effective tax rate forecasting and analysis
  • Assist with R&D tax relief claims
  • Coordinate transfer pricing documentation requirements
  • Support responses to tax authority enquiries
  • Contribute to tax governance, process improvements and evolving tax reporting requirements (Pillar Two)

Key requirements

  • Experience in corporate tax, in practice or in-house
  • Strong knowledge of UK corporation tax compliance and reporting
  • Experience preparing corporation tax computations and returns
  • Understanding of tax accounting and financial reporting principles
  • Knowledge of transfer pricing or interest in developing expertise
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • ACA, ACCA, ATT, CTA or equivalent qualification
