Overview

In this Project Manager role, you will lead delivery of major station packages for HS2 within a specialist rail team. You will define project structure, set targets, and manage interfaces with clients and third parties to ensure on-time, on-budget outcomes. The position emphasizes HSQE leadership, contract and procurement management, and risk controls across the project lifecycle. You will work in a high-profile infrastructure environment and influence delivery through cross-functional collaboration and disciplined planning.

Responsibilities

• Define project organisation and responsibilities
• Communicate project requirements to the team
• Set stretch targets and manage performance
• Coordinate with Client/Representative and integrated project team
• Oversee information flow among teams and third parties
• Implement and maintain project management systems and HSQE leadership
• Approve IMS Plan and appoint duties
• Evaluate opportunities and risks and plan procurement deadlines
• Review and update contract programme
• Organise works packages and support subcontractor awards
• Contract management and supervision of progress
• Oversee change management processes
• Support recruitment and training needs
• Provide period commercial and delivery reporting to internal stakeholders

Key requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering
• APM or MICE advantageous
• Main Contractor background
• Experience in major rail infrastructure projects, especially station builds
• Proven track record delivering high profile projects
