Overview

In this Executive Director role, you will translate Moody’s Fund Finance strategy into execution across the EMEA region, leading an analytical team and driving strategic, operational, and digital initiatives. You will shape the franchise’s market voice, oversee ratings performance and portfolio quality, and collaborate with Moody’s Groups to expand presence in private credit markets. Your leadership will advance analytical rigor, innovation, and regulatory alignment in a fast-growing finance ecosystem. This is a high-impact opportunity to steer thought leadership and deliver independent credit opinions at scale.

Responsibilities

  • Drive strategic direction for the EMEA Fund Finance franchise and execute the regional research and outreach strategy
  • Represent Moody’s Fund Finance perspectives to internal and external stakeholders, articulating trends in credit risk across EMEA
  • Lead a subject-matter team on fund finance themes and ensure analytical consistency on complex transactions
  • Build and maintain relationships with fund sponsors, investors, intermediaries, media, and regulators (e.g., ESMA, FCA)
  • Collaborate with regional Fund Finance teams, rating groups, and Private Credit to ensure coordination and a cohesive One Moody’s approach
  • Lead, develop, and manage a team of Fund Finance professionals, including hiring, coaching, and performance reviews
  • Chair rating committees and uphold Moody’s methodologies and policies
  • Drive digital and AI-enabled transformation, standardize processes, and improve analytical quality and efficiency
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and strong governance and risk management across activities

Key requirements

  • Senior market participant with strong credit skills and broad experience in fund finance, private credit, or related structured/leveraged markets (typically 12–15 years)
  • Proven ability to lead with enterprise perspective, balancing commercial priorities, analytical integrity, and regulatory expectations
  • Track record of building leadership capability and empowering teams to adapt and deliver through change
  • Strategic thinking and big-picture orientation
  • Stakeholder management and relationship-building with issuers, investors, sponsors, intermediaries, and regulators
  • Thought leadership and strong communication skills for industry forums and regulatory discussions
  • Credit analysis and risk assessment
  • Knowledge of fund finance, private credit, and related structured markets
  • Experience with AI-enabled transformation and process automation
