Quality Manager – MMIC

Overview

In this role you provide quality leadership at CPI’s Medicines Manufacturing Innovation Centre (MMIC) in Glasgow, bridging innovation and GMP manufacturing. You will shape quality strategy, ensure cGMP compliance, and support development-stage activities with pragmatic decisions. You’ll lead a growing quality team and collaborate with cross-site colleagues to drive continuous improvement and regulatory readiness. Responsibilities

• Lead all quality activities at the MMIC facility and act as a senior quality advisor to site leadership
• Support operational teams in applying appropriate GMP standards for development and innovation activities
• Develop, manage, and continuously improve the Quality Management System (QMS) and Pharmaceutical Quality System (PQS), monitor KPIs and data integrity
• Provide guidance on GMP compliance, investigations, deviations, change control, and remediation plans; lead related investigations
• Lead and host customer, regulatory, and internal audits; ensure timely closure of findings and inspection readiness
• Lead, coach, and develop a growing QA/QC team (approximately five direct reports) and foster a positive, collaborative culture
• Collaborate with other CPI Quality Managers to drive organisation-wide quality strategy and governance

Key requirements

• Significant experience in a senior quality role within a GMP-regulated pharmaceutical environment
• Strong knowledge of GMP, Data Integrity, quality risk management, and pharmaceutical quality systems
• Proven experience leading audits, investigations, and quality improvement initiatives
• Experience managing and developing quality teams
