Overview

As a Senior Financial Control Analyst at Monzo, you help build a world-class finance function and scale the business in a controlled way. You collaborate with engineering, product teams and the finance group to ensure accurate reporting and robust controls. You will own aspects of software capitalisation reporting and drive automated, scalable processes. Your work supports expansion into new markets and the ongoing growth of lending and the marketplace. Responsibilities

• Embed software capitalisation process with engineering and business teams to automate and scale reporting
• Own the financial reporting processes for software capitalisation and manage month-end close controls
• Apply IFRS capitalisation and impairment knowledge to challenge business judgement with supporting evidence
• Coordinate year-end process with auditors and Financial Reporting squad
• Maintain chart of accounts and financial static data integrity
• Identify and reduce manual reporting through system enhancements and automation
• Write insightful management commentary from understanding of products and business
• Learn and apply SQL to run reports and propose scalable solutions
• Assess accounting impact of new products and implement in banking platform and systems
• Support forecasting, valuations, transfers, transfer pricing, and tax policy research

Key requirements
