We’re delighted to have been exclusively appointed to partner with a purpose-led agency who work with organisations and individuals to create positive change across climate, environmental and sustainability issues.

B Corp certified and employee-owned, the business puts people, purpose and positive impact at the heart of how it operates. It’s now looking for an experienced Head of People & Culture to help shape its next stage of growth.

This is a broad role combining strategic people leadership with hands-on HR.

Working closely with the senior leadership team, you’ll help strengthen culture, engagement, leadership and development, while ensuring the people function runs effectively.

The role:

  • Lead and develop the people and culture strategy.
  • Help embed a strong culture of shared ownership, trust and accountability.
  • Develop learning, development and career pathways across the business.
  • Coach and support managers to lead effectively and confidently.
  • Provide pastoral support to employees, creating a culture where people feel heard, supported and able to thrive.
  • Partner with senior leaders on organisational development, change and team effectiveness.
  • Oversee recruitment, performance, employee relations and HR processes.
  • Champion wellbeing, inclusion and engagement.
  • Use people insight and data to help shape better decisions.
  • Ensure HR practices remain compliant, practical and people-focused.

About you:

We’re looking for an experienced HR/People generalist who combines strong professional knowledge with genuine warmth, empathy and emotional intelligence.

You’ll ideally have:

  • Experience within marketing, communications, digital or creative agency, consultancy or similarly fast-paced environment.
  • Strong generalist HR experience and knowledge of employment law.
  • Experience working with senior leaders and influencing at a strategic level.
  • A track record in learning, development and employee engagement.
  • Experience of employee ownership, or a genuine interest in how it can shape culture.
  • Excellent judgement and the confidence to challenge when needed.
  • A kind, empathetic and thoughtful approach, with an ability to understand and support people working in a purpose-led environment where the issues they work on can sometimes feel personally significant.
  • An interest in climate, sustainability, environmental issues or social impact.

What’s on offer:

  • £60,000–£70,000, depending on experience and location
  • 4 or 5-day working week considered
  • Hybrid working, with 2–3 days in the office
  • Core hours of 10am–4pm, with an early finish on Fridays
  • 25 days’ holiday + birthday + Christmas closure
  • Additional benefits including healthcare and an ethical pension

£60,000–£70,000 | Bristol – Hybrid – 2 days in office per week |

4 OR 5 day working week considered.
